Annual Day 2020 – Save Water, Save Life

On 10th January, 2020, St. John International School celebrated their Annual Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The triumph was possible by the relentless efforts of our Principal – Sr. Apoline Pais.

Mrs. Jean Moses Gomes, Principal of St. Micheal’s High School was the esteemed Chief Guest for the Day and Mr. Albert W. D’Souza, Chairman-Aldel Education Trust The Guest of Honour for the event.

The event started off with the School Anthem. The Panel of Dignitaries that consisted of the Chief Guest – Mrs. Jean Moses Gomes, Chairman-Aldel Education Trust Mr. Albert W D’Souza, Secretary-Mrs. Elvina D’Souza, Members-Mrs. Elaine D’ Souza Buthelo, Mr. Aldridge D’Souza, Deputy Campus Director- Dr. (Mrs.) Savita Tauro and School Principal – Sr. Apoline Pais performed the Lamp Lighting Ceremony.

The theme for the Annual Day was ‘Save Water Save Life’ which was presented meticulously by students from Grade I to X. The students presented an array of programmes showcasing water and nature pollution and its consequences. A Prize Distribution Ceremony was conducted to felicitate and recognise the toppers in the class and for 100% attendance in the academic year 2018-19

The Chief Guest – Mrs. Jean Moses Gomes was visibly impressed by the impeccable performance showcased by the students across different grades. In her speech to the audience, he appreciated the choice of theme and its immense impact on the minds of youth.

Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered acknowledging the efforts of the Students, Teachers, and Supporting Staff and thanked the esteemed guests for their precious time and presence. Later on Finale dance proved as an icing on the cake, taking the audience tap their feet to the vibrant music and energetic dance of the participants.This was followed by the National Anthem.It was a very enjoyable function that brought joy and a sense of achievement to all which created beautiful memories.
