Diwali Celebration 

‘Let us move from untruth to truth and from darkness to light.’

The celebration of Diwali,’The festival of lights’ came alive at St John International School when the whole school wore a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors. The day started with a special morning assembly wherein students delivered speeches on the significance of the festival and songs which brought out the essence of the festival -celebration of life and goodness.
An Inter-house Rangoli competition( house wise) was conducted for the students of grade VI to VIII which added the perfect setting of the festivity. The students of Grade I and II continued the Diwali celebration with the painting of diyas, Grade III and IV decorated of diya thalis, Grade V- VI made designs on lanterns and diya cutouts with decorative materials and Grade VII and VIII did a lantern making activity . Students of Grade IX and XII had a competition ‘Master Chef Churn Out Festive Treats’ wherein the students prepared sweets in the school. They also organised a rally to spread the message of “Celebrate pollution free Diwali and say no to crackers.”
All the activities permeated the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope. The entire activities, competition and festive atmosphere filled the hearts of all the students with the spirit of Diwali and they enjoyed the celebrations wholeheartedly.
