Gudi Padwa Celebration

Gudi Padwa is a spring festival that marks the New Year celebration for Marathi Hindus. It is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar in Maharashtra and Konkan regions. 

Gudi Padwa was celebrated at St. John International School, Palghar on 8th April,2024.

A speech briefing the students about this festival and its importance was delivered by one of the students. Also,  a beautiful poem regarding the festival was recited by one of the students. A melodious song echoed through the quadrangle walls.

The display boards were decorated with colourful garlands and a beautiful drawing of the ‘GUDI’ was displayed. The festival was celebrated in a sweet manner. Padwa was celebrated with much enthusiasm in the school.
