Hindi Diwas Celebration

“राष्ट्रभाषा के बिना राष्ट्र गूंगा है: महात्मा गांधी”
St. John International School celebrated Pre- Hindi Diwas on 11th September 2020. Hindi Divas is celebrated on 14th September, to commemorate the adoption of Hindi written in Devanagari script as one of the two official languages of the Republic of India by Constituent Assembly of India . To this end, several people rallied and lobbied pan-India in favor of Hindi, Beohar Rajendra Simha along with Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, Kaka Kalelkar, Maithili Sharan Gupt and Seth Govind Das . As such, on the 50th birthday of Beohar Rajendra Simha on 14th September 1949, the efforts came to fruition the adoption of Hindi as an official language.
Many activities were conducted during online classes. The Event was a success as maximum numbers of students participated in it and contributed their skills and talents. The details are as below:
Learning outcome from Hindi Diwas Activities:
Grade: I to V – Hindi Handwriting Competition.
Individually tracked over time as students learnt to improve their handwriting
skills.
Grade: VI to X – Mono Act (Topic: Famous Poets and Writers)
To demonstrate the understanding of social and artistic movements of the literature.
