Independence Day

The most remarkable and the historic day for every Indian, the 77th Independence Day, was celebrated with great zeal and splendour at St. John International School on 15th August, 2023. The day commenced with the prayer and welcoming the guests.
To revive our spirits and keep it burning for all times, the Chief Guest for the day, Dr. (Mr.) Evans Cutinho unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem followed by Flag song and expressed their love for the motherland.
Thereafter, cultural programme began by the students showcasing the spirit of patriotism in the form of classical and bollywood dances, patriotic song and speeches in English and Marathi. It was a proud moment to watch them perform as they spread the essence of tricolour wrapped in emotions. The young gymnasts of Aldel High School showcased a breathtaking Human Pyramid performance expressing their sentiments towards our nation.
The chief guest, Dr. (Mr.) Evans Cutinho shared his thoughts on Independence thereby inspiring the gathering.
The Programme concluded with the vote of thanks. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
