Launch of Fit India Movement on 29th August 2019

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a nation-wide Fit India Movement on 29^th August 2019 at 10 am at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex in New Delhi to mark the National Sports Day.

At the same juncture the students of St. John International School witnessed the full programme live through the Doordarshan Channel of Youtube. Students of Grade III to X saw the live programme with interest and enthusiasm. They were all very excited to see the beautiful cultural and sports activities showcased to instil the values of having a fit body.

Stressing on the need to be fit, the Honorable PM Mr. Narendra Modi said that a healthy India is his goal and called for a strict control on people’s lifestyles. He also emphasised on the importance of fitness, especially in the times we live in and added that people must change their mindsets when it comes to physical fitness.

The students departed with the message of propagating ‘Healthy body and healthy mind’.
