Our school celebrated India’s 74th Republic Day with great eclat. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The programme began at 9.30 am. The Management members, Principal and Chief Guest were welcomed with a slow march past.
The guest members were escorted to the flag hoisting ceremony by our school band team. Our chief guest hoisted the National flag, the students saluted the National flag and pledged to uphold the honour and integrity of our country. The choir group sang the national anthem. The school students paid their respects to the national flag in the form of a parade.
Miss Shreeya Kashikar and Master Chaitya Dharod took up the duty of gracing the day by compering. The chief guest of the day, Dr. Brajabandhu Das, Principal of St. John College of Humanities and Sciences addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indian. Miss Shravani Choudhari, student of St. John Junior College brought the stage alive with her passion and love of the motherland through her speech. The school choir team did a phenomenal job by singing patriotic songs. Dance team performed energetically. Finally, a vote of thanks was proposed by Miss. Gargi Dapolikar. With this the celebration came to an end.
The students dispersed with the image of the fluttering tricolour in their mind and heart. May we continue celebrating this day forever!
