Vachan Prerna Diwas

Vachan Prerna Diwas or Reading Day was celebrated on 15th October to honour our late President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, on his birth anniversary.
Sir A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was an intellectual person and had immense interest in reading and writing. This day is observed as Reading Day so that the students understand the importance of reading and are encouraged to develop it as a hobby.
Keeping this objective in mind , reading sessions were conducted for the students at school. A PPT was displayed portraying the life and achievements of Sir Abdul Kalam. Motivational messages and videos were also shown to the students.
Furthermore, the students who read the most number of books from the library were acknowledged and appreciated while others were asked to be inspired by them to read more books.
Students were also encouraged to donate books to the school library as a part of the donation drive camp.
